The thing worth keeping from Gas Town, even if you skip the full multi-agent setup:
Beads.
Git-backed task tracker. Tasks survive crashes, context wipes, compaction events. Everything persists in git because that's where your code already lives. When your agent's context gets wiped mid-session, the task list is still there.
The multi-agent orchestration is early and rough. The persistence layer is genuinely good. You can use beads without Gas Town and it just works.
