Living my Eat Pray Love dream in Malaysia. That book and The Celestine Prophecy have impacted my journey in tangible ways; my excitement reading them, how they both inspired so much emotion in me.
I too now get to listen to the daily call to prayer at the neighborhood mosque instead of just reading about it in a Condé Nast magazine or seeing a video of someone else’s experience.
I wanted to live a life full of funny, amazing, colorful, nonconformist…I wanted, I want a well-lived life.
A life that did not sacrifice joy for piety or goodness or well-behavedness or popularity or money or poverty or abuse or the many ways we can sacrifice our own joy. A lifestyle that does not sacrifice joy is an Eat Pray Love life.
