Ultimately, the problem with AI is not the AI. It’s the motive of the humans who develop, present and manage it.

Asking the right questions elicits comments like this—what my post yesterday is really all about: Getting us to ask targeted questions from an informed position instead of taking the pablum we are being fed about it.

Indeed, how AI is being used is helping to break democracy because as I explain in this essay series, there is nothing democratic about it at all in the way it is being developed and implemented.

We are being offered no voice and no choice by The Gatekeepers.

I meant to say also, that your title about the gatekeeper’s failing us is very apt. I’ve come to think that AI is actually the thing breaking democracy more than anything else.
