I no longer burn to be truly seen,

I understand now what that has meant to me.

I step through a meadow, the sun on my face,

soft light dissolving what time can’t erase.

I sit by still waters that mirror me clear,

at last I feel whole in the space I hold here.

The field stretches open, unguarded and vast,

no longer encased in the armor of past.

The wind moves through me without any strain,

my truth resting gently, no need to explain.

My breath draws me inward, steady and slow,

sensing the path I’m ready to know.

There’s peace in this wholeness, quiet and deep,

I’ll linger here softly before I leap.

A small witness watches from branch above me

I breathe, and I know I am finally free.
