If someone asked you to show them your AI workflow tomorrow, what would you pull up?
Many professionals I talk to go quiet at that question.
Not because they don't use AI, but because they've never documented it.
There's no prompt library, no style guidelines, no workflow map.
Just a browser history and some results they couldn't reliably reproduce.
That's what an AI portfolio is for. It's not a collection of AI-generated documents ... its a documentation of your system:
▶︎ refined prompts
▶︎ style guidelines for agents
▶︎ tested and organized knowledge sources
▶︎ Clear methodologies rooted in practice
If you can show a hiring manager a documented prompt library and a workflow map, you've already separated yourself from the majority of candidates who can only say they use AI.
I wrote about this on Substack this week, including a practical exercise for building your own — adapted from a final assignment I give my Writing with AI students.
