Fun facts about armadillo:

-Small to medium-sized mammals

-Known for their bony, armor-like shell (called a carapace)

-Name comes from Spanish “armadillo” meaning “little armored one”

-Long claws for digging

-Excellent sense of smell, poor eyesight

-Primarily nocturnal and solitary

-They almost always give birth to identical quadruplets
