I’d be much less worried about AI if I thought the abundance it could create would let me live like an aristocrat. I’d be cool with sitting around sipping port, listening to Brahms, and reading history instead of working. But I suspect it’s much more likely to force me to trade my UMC existence for peasantry. The Luddites weren’t actually wrong about the looms after all.
