This is a super interesting framing. Jeremy is right that in terms of how many entrenched systems it would displace #abundance is radical. The reason I think it’s generally cast as a moderate program is that its aims, the vision for society it proposes, is very unradical. Abundance basically just posits an America where you can do stuff without facing 45 layers of veto power. That’s not a radical vision! It’s the most classically American vision possible for how society should function. Personally I’m all for it and I’ll keep pushing Dems to adopt it however I can.
