Home. Just in time to gather the last blooms of the peonies for the kitchen table and celebrate all the women who have mothered me over the years. Trading warbler songs for the plaintive cries of a full nest of chickadees inside our box out front. Returned to Bonnie-joy and loads of laundry and all the beauty of the everyday-ordinary. But tonight I might dream of a world where warblers and chickadees are my neighbors. And believe dreams do come true.
