I woke this morning from a dream about data centers (yes, for real. boo, I know) and then read this thoughtful piece from Daniel Rothberg.

Reading it reminded me of the importance of local politics, local land use and zoning regulations, and community cohesion and cooperation.

The data center boom, like so many economic booms preceding it, has major implications for water use across the U.S., and especially in arid places like the Southwest.
