I’ve seen a few intros recently and I realise I’ve never done one, so here goes (eek!)…

Hi, I’m Lauren, and I write Lessons on Drugs to help you understand the substances you put in your body- prescriptions, supplements, recreational…I don’t judge- they’re your choices, not mine.

I try to have fun with my writing, attempting to walk the line between plain language and technically sound explanation. Whether I succeed or not- I’ll leave that for readers to decide. I also use it as an excuse to draw pictures, because art is fun.

If credentials are your thing, I’m a registered pharmacist with 20ish years experience, have a PhD in Public Health, am a Senior Lecturer in pharmacy practice at Adelaide University in Australia, and I don’t use AI to write posts.
