today It’s Easter on a Wednesday because they were with their dad for the actual holiday.

after divorce you can either let these things (tradition, expectations, separation) derail you, or you can find the silver lining.

I’ve done both - but aim to embody the latter for everyone’s happiness and wellbeing.

I got to have a low-key, relaxed Easter Day at church with my boyfriend and brunch with my mom … and now midweek and days later, I get to watch my kids get excited about an egg hunt and new hammocks in their baskets 🐰🌲 🥚
