So, you love space, stargazing and astrophotography, but you have no equipment. You open Instagram and see the photos of Andromeda or the colourful swirling nebulas that are reposted by NASA. Do you wish you could take detailed photos of the Moon or Mars, the ones where you feel like you can almost match up the details on a clear night, looking up at the sky? Luckily, we live in a day and age where having no equipment does not actually stop you from being able to participate, let alone stop you from taking photos of galaxies. In fact, you actually have access to better equipment COMPLETELY FOR FREE than most have at home by just using your phone or laptop. My name is Lauren, I am an astrobiologist and amateur astrophotographer (see my credentials below) and I am going to show you exactly, step-by-step, how I take my photos of galaxies completely for free using a fantastic tool called iTelescope.
