The Power of the Single Scene
A good writing day doesn’t require a lightning bolt of inspiration—just a chair and a commitment.
My approach is intentionally low-pressure: I show up and commit to staying in the chair until I’ve finished one scene. No more, no less.
Manageable stakes and consistency ensure I stay well ahead of my publisher's deadlines while preserving the joy of storytelling.
What does a good writing day look like for you? Is it a word count, a timed session, or simply showing up?
