Whether I'm listening to the crash of ocean waves or the rhythmic splashing of a hotel pool, one thing is certain: I'm far from home, and I'm exactly where I want to be. Living inland means that visiting a beach always requires a plane ticket or a long road trip.
Similarly, since I don't own a pool, lounging poolside means I'm treating myself to a hotel stay. No matter how you slice it, both scenarios mean one thing: I'm traveling.
And at the end of the day, the setting matters less than the state of mind. As long as I have a phenomenal book in my hands, I'm loving life.
