HEAVY CARGO, LIGHT HEARTS

Trading Wings for Wheels On Our Trip to Garden Valley

This time last summer, I'd just given our balcony plants a hearty watering while Henry watched patiently. We were packing up to fly to the Garden Valley Airport (U88), a beautiful backcountry airstrip nestled right along the Payette River. It's one of our favorite spots for mountain flying, riverside camping, and quick weekend escapes.

Coincidentally, we're heading right back to Garden Valley TODAY! This time, however, we're driving. I'm bringing boxes of Sean McPherson crime thriller novels to sign at this evening's Friends of the Library event, and that much cargo would completely throw off the plane’s weight and balance. Of course, Henry's coming along too (though not as part of the event). As a Standard Poodle on the larger side, he adds another 86 pounds all by himself!

If you're in the area, come say hello and grab a signed book at the Garden Valley District Library this evening from 6:30-8:00 pm. RSVP/INFO Library 208-462-3317
