I can do you one better. An Argentine friend of mine who often visits Uruguay just forwarded me this (link in the comments, in Spanish). Turns out Thiel is also building a $10 million private residence in the Fasano Las Piedras complex in Maldonado, Uruguay. Reinforced security, operational autonomy, the works. Basically a private fortress. So yeah, looks like Thiel is serious about Plan B. Meanwhile, it's data centers for us, peasants.
