In Portugal, 99% of the people I know speak two languages. Half of them speak 3-4. I have one friend who speaks 5.

Sometimes we switch up languages mid-conversation, because for me, frustration comes out more naturally in Spanish, and longing is better expressed in Portuguese.

Speaking multiple languages is such an underrated superpower, and I love how effortless the Portuguese make it seem.
