One of the ways I’m leaning into tangible community and connection right now is by volunteering on the playground fundraising committee of my local school. It is hyper-local, it connects me with my neighbours, it will make a difference not only in about 400 students’ daily outdoor play experiences, but benefit all the residents of the surrounding area, including increasingly the many apartment and condo dwellers seeking outdoor space.
