I love this tip from Erin Billy!

I enjoy using different coloured pens and my best handwriting in my notebooks. It definitely adds something to the learning process!

Plus, I believe science has shown that writing things with pen/pencil and paper somehow helps you to remember things better than typing them on your phone or computer. I’m sure I read that somewhere and it certainly works for me!

A quick tip for you to help you retain vocabulary longer:

Write words out using a pen or pencil that you really like.

For example, a nice Japanese mechanical pencil (I like my Kuru Toga) or a fountain pen (for example, a Lamy) with sea blue ink.

You might find that you enjoy tracing the curves of the letters or looking at the finished word.…
