English learners, do you worry about your listening skills when you watch a film or TV show in English?

Well, did you know that native speakers complain that they can't hear what people are saying either?

I think that actors don't speak as clearly as they used to. Also, there's a lot of music and background noise in some shows. And some modern TVs don't have very good speakers.

Let me tell you a secret: I always watch TV with the subtitles turned on! I don't need to read them all the time but there are often moments when I do! And English is my first language! Does this surprise you?!
