Yesterday I found out that someone I’ve known for nearly forty-five years of my life passed. She had been in ill health for some time and sadly those health issues caught up to her. She is the mother of a friend who is pretty much my little sister to me. Despite the fact that I’m older by only a few weeks.

Bonnie was a force to be reckoned with. She was someone who had strong opinions and didn’t tolerate much bull from anyone. She did what she could to raise her children. Sometimes when I visited the house her and I would have some nice chats about what was going on around us.

Over the years time moved on. The last time I saw her was a few years ago and even then her health was on shaky ground. Death is always a sad thing in this life. It is the ending of one journey and, hopefully, the start of the next. Yet in some small way her passing does bring a level of peace. Given the challenges Bonnie had.

Please keep Michelle and her brother Rick in prayer as they deal with this challenging time. Keep the grand kids in prayer as well. Blake, Jade and Robbie. Along with those around them. -JM
