I have posted this photo taken in Iraq before, but it bears repeating.

On Baghdad’s Al-Mutanabbi Street, booksellers leave their books out overnight and no one ever steals them.

They adhere to an old Iraqi proverb that says, “The reader doesn’t steal, and the thief doesn’t read.”
