This is the Stipa-Caproni, one of aviationās strangest (and smartest) ideas in 1933.
The entire fuselage acted like a giant tube around the propeller⦠basically an early attempt at what we now call a jet engine concept. It didnāt go fast. It didnāt go far.
But it proved something powerful: shaping airflow matters more than raw power.
Sometimes the weirdest airplanes push aviation the furthest forward.
