This is the first time I have seen local police stand up to ICE agents.

I’m not saying it hasn’t happened in other places, I’m only saying I haven’t SEEN it happen.

I don’t know anything about this Portland officer, but I’ve traced this video back to multiple sources. If anyone has more context, I’d love to hear about it!

It’s not a big enough story to end up on the news…it’s just a moment - a short interaction - but a portrait of bravery nonetheless.

I hope we see more of these.
