Last night I posted about something so incredible that Heretic Coffee Co. is doing in SE Portland to help community members losing their SNAP assistance.

I found an interview with the owner of that business posted by The Oregonian that I want to share with all of you.

This is so moving and symbolic of what true patriotism looks like to me. Helping one another (while our own government has decided not to release funds they have in reserves) is the type of unity that gives me faith that together we will get out of this.

This is the America I love.
