Make money doing the work you believe in

As an executive coach, I have coached CEOs, VPs, and top performing managers. I got my first coach when I was promoted to Director at Amazon, and I have since paid for up to 4 specialized coaches at one time. I personally have used coaching in the following ways:

→ For health and diet

→ For peak work performance

→ For clearing mental baggage that was holding me back

→ For exercise (a personal trainer)

When I was paying for all of these coaches at once, my bill was about $1000/month. This is expensive, but that price was for a few weeks when they overlapped and the benefit of all of those coaching engagements has made me much better in these areas of my life.

When I compare the dollar price that I paid to the benefits I have gained, the return on investment is clear and significant. I hired coaches to be better. People hire me as a coach to be better.

Professional athletes and performers hire their coaches to help them improve, even though they are among the best in the world at what they do.

My point is that no one is “too good” or too far along in their career to benefit from the help of a great coach. Truly high performers know that they can always continue to improve, even if they are “the best”. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Tom Brady all had coaches.

But you also don’t need to wait to be “good enough” or “rich enough” to hire a coach for something you want to work on.

Many coaches are surprisingly affordable, especially when you compare the cost to the likely benefit. Remember, I spent $1000/month for four coaches at a time. This means an average of $250/month per coach for returns of tens of thousands of dollars in career advancement or lifelong benefits.

Today, Cassie Campbell is sharing a great write-up of the 10 most important lessons she has learned from some of the world’s most respected product coaches. Cassie is a product executive and podcast host who is currently building an AI-enhanced coaching platform after 20 years of product experience.

Her advice on leadership and working with a coach goes far beyond the world of product and tech, however, so I recommend her article to anyone looking to level up any aspect of their life.

Lastly, Cassie's price for this coaching is the best - $0. It's in our free newsletter today: levelupwithethanevans.s…

If you've used any kind of coach, share the benefits you've gotten. Both Cassie and I would love to read about your experience and you can help others who are hesitant to get help.
