On my 26th birthday, I cried so hard I broke a bunch of blood vessels in my face because I didn’t have any friends.

Yesterday, for my 33rd birthday, my husband threw me a party, graciously hosted at one of our friends’ homes because our house wouldn’t fit all of the people who were coming.

I wish I could tell that sweet 26-year-old how much better it gets.
