The difference between telling yourself 'I get to' instead of 'I have to':
- 'I get to clean this house because I have a home to live in'
- 'I get to exercise because I have a body that can move'
- 'I get to figure out what we're having for dinner because I have food in the house and people to cook for'
- 'I get to deal with this difficult thing because I'm the kind of person who can deal with difficult things'
- ‘I get to age because the alternative is considerably worse’
Same tasks but the energy going into them is completely different, which impacts everything else in your life.
