On Friday I drove 3 hours to Tavira in the Algarve where I'm attending a 7 day course on creating food forests in a Mediterranean climate, at the incredible Orchard of Flavours project run by Miguel Cotton.
It's a non-profit and accredited botanical garden, research site and nursery with a difference — every single plant can be eaten in some way.
Day 1 was the World of Subtropical fruit trees which was one flavour sensation after another.
My planting list for The Land is getting epic…
Here I'm eating a limequat, a cross between a lime and a kumquat and it is just that good.
