I still stand by this today. Recent news points to an end to the conflict on term favorable to the US. Iran has been militarily, politically, and economically devastated, the full extent of which will only become clearer in the next few weeks. If the ceasefire doesn’t hold, there’s nothing to prevent the US from acting on Trump’s threats from earlier today. The likely outcome will be a defanged Iran with no ability to project force even regionally. I trusted the president. I trust him still.

The US has non-negotiable demands that Iran is in no position to dispute, unless they finally deploy all the super secret wonderweapons they’ve been hiding this whole time for reasons known only to online commentators.
