Hi Substack! It’s me, Lidey!

You may know me from my recipes on NYT Cooking, from my cookbook, Cooking in Real Life, or from my Instagram @LideyLikes. I’m a home cook, recipe developer, and food writer based in New York’s Hudson Valley. 

I got my start working as Ina Garten’s assistant, where I learned the fundamentals of good recipe writing. My recipes are approachable, crowd-pleasing, and always tested over and over until they’re just right. 

Here on Substack, I’ll also be sharing personal stories, hosting and design ideas, updates on home reno projects, travel journals (as soon as we are brave enough to travel with our brand new baby!) and so much more. I hope you’ll join me.
