I’ve kept a gratitude journal for years, and what I’ve noticed is this: when you write things down, you begin to look for them. You train your eye toward the everyday good things - both the obvious ones and the unexpectedly lovely. Life’s little things, especially.
Sometimes I record them in sentences on paper. Sometimes in a note on my phone. Sometimes in photographs. My friend Samantha Dion Baker captures hers in daily drawings. There are so many ways to mark what matters.
Do you keep a gratitude journal, or some version of one? I’d love to know how you notice the good.
