I am opening the door of my first paid Substack from mid-September; a place for showing and teaching some art-making process, a place for writing about specific things and a place to build community. I’ll be showing the entire start-to-finish process of picture book creation by attempting my first book for grown-ups in front of everyone, showing where ideas come from both externally and internally and just generally making a cosy community space for hosting others in various ways, as well as sharing my platform with other creatives.

It’s going to be very much about embracing the messiness of process in both art and life, being raw and human and, dare I say, enjoying being kind of bad at things as a beginner (so you might even hear some music). Things are a bit too polished these days but my place is going to be more about joyful messy unfolding.
