“The Price of Peace Is Not Paid in Coupons”
A country that cuts defense spending and gives out coupons, that will end up being a slave state
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of war on the Korean Peninsula.
The Korean War is not over yet. The gunfire has stopped, but the war continues.
And the beginning and end of that war, and whether it is peace or war, have always been determined by the intentions and goals of politicians.
The conservative governments in Korea know the weight of history. They have thoroughly protected the Republic of Korea by focusing on the nation, national defense, and security.
The reason why the free Republic of Korea did not waver even amidst North Korea’s constant provocations and the tensions of the Cold War was because, at its center was a strong sense of national defence and security, and the conservative government protected it.
But what about now?
The leftist government that calls for peace the most is actually moving toward destroying that peace.
The peace they talk about is cowardly submission, and the unification they talk about is slave unification that has given up freedom.
The current government cuts defense spending and packages the money into coupons and gives them to the people.
The money that should be used to protect the country is being used as a tool to gain immediate popularity and votes.
People who have no guilt while installing security windows and changing passwords to protect their homes to prevent robbers from coming from outside, and leaving the country’s doors wide open to let enemies in
People who turn on the camera every day to thank their pets at home, and who cannot say a word about the politicians who cut the defense budget that monitors and protects the enemies entering the country
Cutting the defense budget is not a simple budget issue. It is a violation of the human rights of soldiers standing on the front lines of national defense.
In this reality of poor equipment, insufficient training, old quarters, and cut supplies, shouting at soldiers to protect the country is nothing more than shifting responsibility.
Cutting the defense budget is like telling soldiers to protect the country with their bare hands.
A society that cuts guns but places responsibility on soldiers, cutting the defense budget that weakens security is violence that sacrifices both the lives and human rights of soldiers on the front lines.
North Korea dictator and China Communist Party are preparing for war even at this moment.
Their missiles are aimed at Seoul, their military is ideologically armed, and invisible spies are roaming the land of Korea.
However, the current government is breaking down the door of national defense.
If the people do not wake up, Korea will soon become an accomplice in selling out freedom under the name of a ‘nation that received coupons’ and will go down in history as a nation that is a shame.
In the end, after freedom collapses, the leftists will say,
You enjoyed receiving coupons instead of defense spending.
Wasn’t this what you wanted?
Now, you must choose.
Will you choose the comfort of a few coupons, or will you endure the inconvenience of protecting freedom?
Everyone knows that peace does not come for free. Complacency is surrender, and cutting defence spending is the very thing that destroys the roots of the country.
If we do not wake up now, the day will soon come when South Korea will kneel before North Korea and China, and it will become a sandwich country that is crushed between North Korea and China and is torn to fit their tastes.
