My dog Lulu is either half human or a tiny emotional mastermind.

I haven’t decided which.

She has this uncanny ability to stay in the most awkward position after I stop cuddling her. Not just for a second. I mean commitment. Limbs everywhere, head tilted, body slouched like she melted mid-thought and just…stayed.

I think it’s intentional.

Like I’ll pull away and she freezes in place as if to say, “Oh. We’re done? Interesting. I didn’t realize you were in charge of when love ends.”
