We had another snow storm today so I tucked myself into my Art Nest and did this mixed media sketchbook spread inspired by Nathalia Velásquez on Patreon today. I never would have picked the complex scene she chose to draw on my own, (and I might have even groaned a little when I saw her reference photo) 😉 But I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this exercise! After watching her create her simplified version, which was so cool and way looser than mine, I felt encouraged to give it a go, and I’m so glad I did! I will post yesterday’s mixed media sketch here too. Simple joys despite the late snow and cold 🤗💜
