I have a major art-girl crush on Maira Kalman so I’ve been channeling her in my gouache paintings lately. Not copying her work, but being deeply inspired by it. I’ve also been reading a few of her books and the quote above is from her book “Women Holding Things”. That quote inspired me to create these paintings.
