We should all have your skill sets. I am working on these things. We are not off the beaten path, and if Russia starts attacking Germany we have the option to go live with relatives in the countryside who have solar, land, gardens and fields as well as chickens, and some sheep. Around the corner from me are many gardens and some have greenhouses. This land for gardens away from ones home, particularly popular with apartment dwellers, is common in Germany.

I am working on developing my alternative Computer universe right now. That takes a lot. I would like to grow more foods. and have considered turning one of our former chicken houses into a greenhouse. My wildflower garden makes people happy, but is not edible. My husband was pointing out that the poppies in the mix are used to make opiates. That is not my plan.

Europe is decoupling from the US in a slow, methodical way. I am wary of Trump's threats. I have been thinking about taking a small trip to Ukraine and to Hungary. We will probably just go to the Netherlands, because there is a good deal on train tickets and a direct train to Amsterdam from our city.
