I’m writing historical fiction for the first time.

"I can't start writing until the research is complete."

Months I've been saying this. It sounds responsible, but it’s a deferral system pretending to be preparation.

This is the Refusal of the Call. It looks like care, but it keeps the adventure at arm's length indefinitely.
