I’ve been thinking about the word covenant lately — a formal, binding contract, agreement, or promise between two parties.

We read it in scripture, but we don’t use it much in real life. But what if we did? And rather than pulling away when things get hard, we leaned more deeply into the promises we’ve made to our families, our communities, and the Divine?

Covenants protect us from distraction and preserve what is sacred.

Of course, they’re often less about what you want to get and more about what you said you would give. 🐉⚔️
