Make money doing the work you believe in

I originally made this a comment, but it grew too big for that. But, I’m tired, and I’ve heard as much as I can today. I was trying to take a mental health day, but I clicked on this anyway. I’ve read enough to understand the problem.

There’s only one way we can win an election that feels this stacked against us. People on the left—and people on the right who are also scared—need to start talking to everyone. I was going to say it doesn’t matter who, but it does. There are so many people, across political and non-political lines, who feel completely disenfranchised. Two groups really stand out:

Gen Z. Talk with them, not at them. Find out what they actually want. They’re tired of empty talking points and word salad. They want to know they matter, that they’re being heard. They want a future. A lot of them don’t believe they’ll ever be able to own a home. Having kids feels financially out of reach. They’re looking for someone who pushes for real change (like Mamdani), and actually delivers on things others say are impossible. Go find them, not to sell a party, but to listen and act. And remember, they’re online. Showing up on college campuses is great, but meeting them in Discord servers and other online spaces matters too. We have to try. If you do not know what Discord is, just ask.

People on the right. We need to talk to them too. They have real concerns, and they want to be heard. This isn’t just about politics—it’s about people. Many have been told a very specific story about what’s happening in the world, and that shaped what they believe. Leaders like Trump understood what they wanted to hear and made promises around that—promises he didn’t necessarily intend to keep. We need to show these people they’re heard too, even if we don’t agree.

And to be clear, this approach should extend to everyone. No one is really happy right now, and a lot of people think their struggles are purely partisan when they’re not. Gen Z and people on the right are especially important, but we can’t ignore anyone else.

Finally, Kamala Harris please, please look at the information from This Will Hold in at least one swing state. They’re claiming to have evidence that you won by a landslide. If it turns out to be wrong, then no harm done. But if it’s right, it could change everything. Please don’t dismiss it out of concern about sounding like people who cry fraud without evidence.

I’m just one person—like a snowflake in the wind, waiting for an avalanche. I can’t start something like this. But Kamala Harris you can.

This is important. Please restack.
