One instruction that changes AI writing analysis entirely:

Add "Avoid generic psychological language" to your characterization prompt.

Without it: "The author demonstrates avoidant attachment patterns and struggles with self-efficacy."

With it: "His most paralyzing fear is rooted in his sister's mental illness—the author is terrified of his own future."

One is clinical. One lands.

The AI will default to the clinical version if you let it. You have to tell it not to.
