Rubio Warns Israel: West Bank (Judea and Samaria) Annexation Threatens Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has warned that any Israeli move to annex the occupied West Bank (Judea and Samaria) would jeopardize President Trump’s Gaza peace initiative.

Rubio, who is set to visit Israel today to help reinforce the ceasefire, called a new Israeli bill advancing sovereignty over the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) “counterproductive” and said it would backfire.

Rubio emphasized that President Trump has made it clear: the U.S. does not support annexation of the West Bank (Judea and Samaria).

When asked about growing settler violence against Palestinians in the area, Rubio stated that Washington opposes any actions that destabilize the region.
