Make money doing the work you believe in

There’s a lot of controversy around this essay which I’m uninterested in involving myself with, however I find some of the woman’s “research” interesting.

It seems single women (mostly converts) are having a hard time finding spouses in the Orthodox Church despite the fact there are plenty of single men. This is in part due to the fact that Ethnic Orthodox want to marry within their ethnicity, the cradle Orthodox want to marry cradle orthodox, and other converts want women who are have no pasts and are preferably cradle Orthodox. Apparently, joining an exotic, ethnic, insular religion is hard because the OG members want to retain their ethnicity, insularity, and exoticism. Of course, there’s still hope for the converts in the convents and monasteries.

Or there’s Catholicism. It’s cultural rather than ethnic based and it’s universal rather than insular. It’s for everyone of all types and all intellects. I don’t think poor hygiene ranks as high among single Catholic men, either.
