The app for independent voices

Far right minister Itamar Ben Gvir is pushing a bill to silence the Muslim adhan across occupied Palestine, dressing it up as a “noise” concern to protect settlers’ comfort. Not the occupation. Not the siege. The call to prayer.

The bill threatens mosques with fines up to 50,000 shekels if they broadcast without approval and even allows confiscation of loudspeakers. A state deciding when Muslims may pray aloud. A state turning faith into a crime.

This is the same minister who dismissed Israelis spitting on churches as an “old Jewish tradition.” Yet he writes laws about whose voice is the problem.

Why is the world watching this unfold in silence? How are such vile acts being legislated while propaganda against Islam continues unchecked and unchallenged?

Colonisation is not just land. It is sound. Prayer. Culture.

The goal is silence. The world’s complicity is the echo.
