Duane Allman was a force. The guitar was the legend. The man behind it was something rarer. "Duane as a person was one of the finest people, I've ever had the pleasure to be with in my life. He was a very commanding presence, but he was also just one of the nicest people. I mean, he tried to help everybody out. That's what I remember about him is that he was always trying to be a positive force in everybody's life. And succeeded in doing that, you know, 99% of the time.
