Required reading for anyone writing on the Internet is Patricia Lockwood’s No One is Talking About This. What she does in it is brilliant and I think about it all the time. Especially when I see someone writing something like, “No one is saying this, SO I WILL,” and then flattening deeply complex issues into ways that flatter or affirm their own bias.
