A great analysis of Dune 1 and Dune 2. As a fan of the original book, I was cool with the use of Chani as moral compass. Her character was rewritten quite deliberately with a purpose that was entirely consonant with Herbert’s original intent. And yes, Timothée Chalamet’s performance is amazing.
