Every once in a while, I’ll read a careful, thoughtful piece suggesting that we should set kids free to be on as much social media as they’d like, and I’ll think, huh, maybe, this writer sounds like they have their head on their shoulders.
Then I’ll get a glimpse of what teens are actually doing with social media, and I’ll think, no, burn this down, this will destroy everything we care about.
